DOTD announces lane closure on U.S. 90 in Scott

SCOTT, La. -- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that beginning Monday, February 25, U.S. 90, in Scott, will be reduced to one lane for road construction between St. Mary Street and Westgate Road.

The work is expected to take approximately three months, weather-permitting.

No detour is necessary for this work.

The work being performed during this closure is related to the project to install a turn lane.  This $618,000 project will involve installing drainage pipe and a right turn lane at the intersection of U.S. 90 and La. 93. Work on the project began in February 2013 and is estimated for completion in spring 2013.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
