A group of World War II Honor Air Veterans, on a trip to visit the memorial built in their honor, did not allow the barricades blocking the memorial stop them...

According to WLOX, the veterans were visiting the WWII memorial in Wahington DC today, which is closed due to the government shutdown.  The proud veterans pushed past the barricades and roamed freely about the memorial.  As they should have, in my opinion.
