Healing House To Hold 2nd Annual ‘Cookin’ for the Kids’ Jambalaya Cook-Off

Healing House; Hope for Grieving Children is having its second annual “Cookin’ for the Kids” Jambalaya Cook-off. The event is slated for Friday October 5, 2012 from 11:00am-2:00pm in the River Ranch Town Center.
Healing House is a non-profit agency focused on helping children through grief issues in a group atmosphere. Healing House doesn’t provide counseling or therapy. It’s a place for children aged 4-18, who’ve experienced a death of a loved one can express their thoughts and feelings in a variety of ways.
Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in advance by calling the Healing House office at 234-0443, or the day of the event. More than a dozen different jambalaya creations will be offered.
