As if Friday wasn't reason enough to celebrate, this Friday, June 6th, is "National Doughnut Day." The tradition of National Doughnut Day was begun by the Salvation Army in 1938. The first Friday in June was designated as a day to honor the men & women who served doughnuts to armed forces personnel during World War I. Many doughnut shops offer special discounts, even free doughnuts on this day. I'll be up bright and early, celebrating National Doughnut Day at a shop on the intersection of Ambassador Caffery & Kaliste Saloom. Listen to 99.9 KTDY for details.
