It may be time to look into the drawers at home if you've shopped at a Family Dollar location in Louisiana.

The FDA has announced a voluntary recall for several products sold or distributed at Familly Dollar stores in several states, and some stores in Louisiana are part of the recall.

The products, that we will highlight here, are being recalled after they were “stored outside of labeled temperature requirements.”

The items part of this recall were reportedly sold this year between June 1 and Oct. 4.

Some of the items part of the recall include pain relievers, ointments, cold and flu medicine, several brands of aspirin, laxatives, toothpaste pain relievers, antacids, mouthwash, and eye drops.

Family Dollar has initiated this voluntary recall out of an abundance of precautionary measures and no one has come comfort to date with an illness related to any of the items that are part of the voluntary recall.

If you wish to return any of the products on this list here, you can return them to the store where you purchased them.

In total, stores in 23 states are under this voluntary recall. The FDA says, "Customers with questions regarding this recall may contact Family Dollar Customer Service at 844-636-7687 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST."

The agency would go on to advise anyone who may be ill as a result of these products to contact their doctor immediately.
