Courtesy Cadillac is kicking off the Christmas spirit this week with the first annual “Cocoa and Carols Event” that will include an appearance from Santa Claus and a live performance from the Acadiana Symphony Youth Orchestra.  Beginning at 5pm on Thursday, Dec. 15th, families are encouraged to attend to make memories and share in the fun!

Acadiana Symphony musicians Jenny Krueger, executive director and flutist, Joel Martinez, violinist,

Tim Gaffga, viola, and members of the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra & Conservatory Boys & Girls Club chorus will perform holiday favorites.

The Boys and Girls Club Chorus is a group of young singers from the Granberry & Jackie Units of the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana. This chorus has developed over the past year and a half, as the Acadiana Symphony & Conservatory of Music's Outreach Program began offering music classes for students of the Boys & Girls Club of Acadiana's Granberry Unit.  Through the tremendous interest of the students, the program experienced rapid growth, and quickly began transforming into a chorus.

This event will take place from 5pm- 7pm at 4010 Ambassador Caffery and is free and open to the public. Santa will be available for pictures beginning at 5pm.  Parents are encouraged to bring their own cameras.  Free hot cocoa and cookies will be served.  For more information, call Courtesy Cadillac at 337-984-5100.
