Some really sad news coming out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

WAFB reports that an elderly woman was killed in the parking lot of a grocery store Monday morning after she reportedly tripped over a raised portion of the concrete.

The pedestrian fell to the surface after tripping and that is when a vehicle ran over her, killing her.

The accident occurred at the Albertson's store off College Drive. at 10 am.

Louise Calloway, 84, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police tell WAFB that the investigation is ongoing, but all indications are that the driver of the vehicle that ran over the woman did not see her on the ground after she fell.
