City Police Announce Festival Parking Restrictions

Festival International De Louisiane is this Wednesday through Sunday (Apr. 23- 27). City police are making preparations for the influx of people, and traffic to the Hub City.

Several parking restrictions will be in effect downtown during the festival. Wednesday, April 23, there will be “No Parking” from 4pm – 4 am on Jefferson Street between Lee Avenue and Main Street.  Thursday, April 24, there will be “No Parking” on Jefferson Street from 4pm – 4 am between Johnston Street and Cypress Street.  From Friday, April 25, at 4 pm through Sunday, April 27, 2014, at 10 pm, there will be “No Parking” on Jefferson Street between Johnston Street and Cypress Street. Parking in downtown Lafayette can be a headache at any time. It's recommended that festival goers park at Cajun Field and ride the FREE shuttle.
