When it comes to athletes, we bounce the word 'Hero' around like beachball. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Leonard Pope is a REAL hero. Pope was attending a pool party in Georgia last weekend when 6 year old Bryson Moore sunk to the bottom of the pool.

'I saw Bryson going down in the water and I started screaming. Leonard was inside, and he came out of nowhere and dove into the water without any hesitation, cell phone in his pocket and all.'   -Anne Moore

Pope was reportedly the only adult at the party who could swim. When he heard his longtime friend Anne screaming, he dove into the pool and saved her son.  At this time of year, Pope would normally be at minicamp in Kansas City. Maybe everything really does happen for a reason.
