With the craze of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on fire across the internet, one religious organization discourages its congregation from participating.

The Archdiocese of Cincinatti sent a letter to its schools which states that the research being conducted by the ALS Association is "in direct conflict with Catholic teachings".

Officials say that the students at these Catholic schools can still take the challenge, but should donate the money to a different organization.
