Pretty much every actor in Hollywood shows up in ‘New Year’s Eve,’ director Garry Marshall’s follow-up of sorts to the equally star-studded ‘Valentine’s Day.’ The ensemble of characters deals with babies, lost loves, resolutions and everything in between on, you guessed it, New Year’s Eve.
Among the celebs on board to ring in the new year are (deep breath) Zac Efron, Hilary Swank, Halle Berry, Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Katherine Heigl, Ashton Kutcher and Jon Bon Jovi.
As we continue to wait for more details on Winehouse’s tragic death, our good friends at PopCrush have assembled a number of posts that take a look back at the Grammy-winning singer, whose life and career were sadly cut too short.
In what continues to be a great month for leaked movie trailers, Big Shiny Robot got its hands on ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ teaser trailer on Tuesday, which offers a blurry — but still awesome — glimpse at the highly anticipated reboot.
Among the many teasers offered in this trailer are a glimpse at Peter Parker’s (‘Social Network’ cutie Andrew Garfield) backstory, his love interest, Gwen Stacy (‘Easy A’s’ Emma Stone) and a pretty epic shot of Spidey swinging through the streets of New York City, all from his point of view.
These days, British singer Adele is rolling in the dough.
According to Billboard, Adele’s sophomore effort, ’21,’ has officially hit the 1 million digital sales mark, becoming only the second CD to do so this year, after Eminem’s ‘Recovery.’ Even better: The 21-year-old singer has surpassed Eminem’s digital sales, with 1,017,000 copies purchased to his 1,005,000.

As expected, Pixar’s ‘Cars 2′ easily took first place at the weekend box office, netting a healthy $68 million. That’s about $8 million higher than the original ‘Cars,’ which opened to $60.1 million in 2006.
Another sequel cruises into theaters this weekend by way of Pixar’s ‘Cars 2,’ with Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) back for another fast-paced adventure – this time, at the first-ever World Grand Prix.
Reviews haven’t been too kind for the movie, but given Pixar’s recent successes, ‘Cars 2′ should have no problem taking the number-one spot at the box office.
