Hydreon Corp. In Minnesota Developed FakeTV To Make Burglars Think You’re Home

Summertime is here and many of you will be going on vacation leaving your home...alone.  With the economy the way it is, protect your home while you're away.  FakeTV, a Minnesota-based company sells a gadget to simulate the light from a television set to make burglars think you're home. Hydreon Corp. said the product simulates the light of a TV as it would be seen through a home’s windows.

The effects resemble the light from scene changes, fades and on-screen motion. “This tool will provide the illusion that someone is home. Hopefully the bad guy will try another place or easier target due to the fact that someone may be home,” said police Chief Michael Fields. The product is available for $35 at www.faketv.com.
