The History Channel's new drama series premieres tonight, based on the declassified contents of the U.S. Air Force's Project: Blue Book.

One of my fondest memories as a kid was my mom taking me to the Abbeville Public Library during the summers and loading me up with books. I was able to pick whatever I wanted to read in addition to the required summer reading, and my mom always encouraged me to read anything that interested me. As a child of the 80s and early 90s, science fiction was a huge interest, so I had to read the Time - Life's collection of books, 'Mysteries of The Unknown.' (Remember those cool commercials? Check one of 'em out below).

It was in the volume 'The UFO Phenomenon' that I first read about Project Blue Book, a top - secret Air Force investigation into UFOs that lasted decades. The files were declassified and are now the focus of a new drama on History Channel, 'Project Blue Book.' The series is set in the 50s but has the great feel of the best episodes of The X - Files and features Aidan Gillen of Game of Thrones and Neal McDonough from Band of Brothers and Star Trek First Contact. Watch the San Diego Comic Con trailer below and tune in tonight at 9 if you like what you see.
