Lafayette's 5th annual Boudin Cook-Off will welcome teams from Louisiana, Texas and Florida on October 20th.

The site will be Parc San Souci in downtown Lafayette. Previous People's Choice winners Nunu's and T-Boy's will be on hand.  Local favorites including Billeaud's, Chop's, Johnson's Boucaniere, Early's Cajun Supermarket, and Mike's Country Corner will be there again this year, along with Sonnier's from Lake Charles.

"We are excited to welcome so many first time teams to the competition. This year will be a real treat for boudin lovers because we have Cochon of Lafayette, J.W.'s Meats and Smokehouse from Breaux Bridge, and Fatback Boucherie out of Austin, Texas, to name just a few of the new entrants,” - Dawn Carriker,  Event Organizer.

The cook-off is free and open from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. There will be music by the Sons of Voodoo, The Specklers, and the Babineaux Sisters. There will be samples from Uncle's BBQ Sauce and free ice cream sandwiches from Blue Bell. In addition, there will be food, refreshments, prizes, and free activities, including fun jumps, face painting, games, and the boudin eating contest. Proceeds benefit the Historic Preservation Alliance of Lafayette.

Free parking is available in Downtown Lafayette. Presenters  are BoudinLink.com and CajunGrocer.com. For more information, visit www.boudincookoff.com.
