12 Year Old Dies After Falling From Vehicle

I didn't understand how a someone could make their children ride on the hood and trunk of the car, until I read the charges filed:  she was drunk.

The Crowley, Texas mother of the girl who died hasn't been charged (yet), but a family friend (who was driving the car and had children riding ON it) has been charged with Intoxication Assault to a Child and DWI.

Apparently this mother didn't want the kids (who had been at a community pool) to get the inside of her car wet.  She made them ride on the outside the car; on the hood and on the trunk.  They all fell off of the car, and 12-year-old Octavia Marie Watkins died as a result of her injuries.

Friends, don't let your friends drive drunk.  It's just an all-around bad idea.
