Here's one from the "Truth is Stranger Than Fiction" department. A guy recently checked a single can of beer with his checked baggage for a flight across Australia. The man, known only as "Dean," checked a single 12 oz. can of Emu Export when boarding a flight from Melbourne to Perth. The beer arrived undamaged. It was the first item on the conveyer at Perth baggage claim. I'd probably refrigerate it for a while before opening. Mashable reports, Dean and a friend came up with the idea as a lark, presumably after consuming a few beers. I wonder if Qantas charges baggage fees...
