Ville Platte Officials Charge Man w/ Creeping into Home, Trying to Rape Two Women
While not all the details can be released in the case at this time, what we can tell you is that the alleged perpetrator is also accused of pretending to be a law enforcement officer.
According to Ville Platte Police Department officials, police officers were called out to an incident complaint on Monday, May, 1.
The women were unclothed when 29-year-old Bobby Lee Trattles entered the home. Investigators say the man is accused of touching these women inappropriately.
Trattles was arrested, and the charges against him are as follows:
- Two counts of Attempted Second-Degree Rape
- Two counts of Second-Degree Sexual Battery
- Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer
- Home Invasion
Trattles had his bond set by a judge at $140,000. The man could face serious time if convicted on two counts of attempted second-degree rape.

Whoever commits the crime of home invasion shall be fined not more than five thousand dollars and shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not less than one year nor more than thirty years.
Here are the penalties possible if convicted of impersonating a law enforcement officer in Louisiana:
Whoever commits the crime of false personation of a peace officer or firefighter shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars, imprisoned with or without hard labor for not more than two years, or both.
