Excuse me for a minute, but I've been under the weather a bit and have not been paying super attention to the storms rumbling in the tropics. So, when I woke up this morning and saw the projected path of yet another storm, it caught my attention.

I'm not talking about Tropical Storm Fred. He appears to be heading to the Florida panhandle over the course of the next couple of days and shouldn't pose a threat to Louisiana.

No, I'm referring to Tropical Storm Grace, which is currently in the Caribbean. Over the next three to four days, Grace is expected to dump decent amounts of rain in the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. The forecast for most of those locations is 3 to 6 inches of rain with isolated higher amounts (but some as much as 15 inches).

It's what happens afterward that we should keep an eye on. The good news right now is that the storm remains unorganized just south of Puerto Rico with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph.

But, looking at the probable path right now from the National Hurricane Center, and they have T.S. Grace's cone of uncertainty includes the Louisiana coast.

As you can see in the graphic, landfall would not be until late in the week.

There is still obviously a lot that could happen to this storm and we'll be sure to keep you posted with the latest advisories and information that you need to stay prepared and safe from the storm.
