To say there is a special place in our hearts here at the radio station for the men and women who serve our communities in law enforcement would be an understatement. We, as media partners, often work hand in hand with these well-trained professionals in making sure that we are all safe from ourselves, natural disasters, and the occasional bad guy who would do us or our family harm.

One of our favorite members of the law enforcement community has announced his retirement. He's also announced his plans to continue his service to people. This time from a much higher jurisdiction.

Master Trooper Willie Williams has announced that as of January 1, 2020, he will be retiring from Louisiana State Police. We know Trooper Willie quite well from his time spent as Public Information Officer with LSP.

Trooper Willie has been in law enforcement since 1994. He's worked for you and me as a member of the Louisiana State Police since 1999. With his pending retirement, Trooper Williams has announced plans to serve mankind from a different position. He's currently pursuing a Bachelor of Theology Degree at the United Theological Seminary. Upon graduation, he has plans to go into the ministry full time.

Here at the station, we worked for many years with Trooper Willie Williams. I can tell you his dedication to you, your family, and the protection of life and property in our state has been beyond reproach. His dedication to "doing the right thing" will certainly aid him in his new endeavors and we wish him the very best.
