Louisiana Town Named Fastest Growing City in State

(Maurice, Louisiana) - A small town in Acadiana has been labeled as the fastest-growing city in the state of Louisiana.

The mayor of Maurice, Neil Arsement, shared the good news on social media, saying that Maurice has been designated the fastest-growing city in our state.

Mayor Arsement said in his social media post:

"According to the latest population data, our community has experienced remarkable growth over the past several years — a testament to the quality of life, strong sense of community, and bright future we are building here in Maurice."

With that growth, the community attracts more residents, which can lead to more businesses moving into Maurice, improving the quality of life for those in the area.

The mayor would go on to say that the small-town atmosphere is so welcoming that more and more people are embracing southern hospitality, and that, too, is a great way to recruit more small businesses.

Mayor Arsement says they will continue working to make Maurice a great place to raise a family and start a business, and he thanks everyone currently in Maurice for their efforts in making it a great place to live.
