(Lafayette, LA) - Getting a delicious pizza from Deano's Pizza on Wednesday, May 20, will also give you the opportunity to tip a cop who will be part of the wait staff that night. The money raised benefits Faith House, a domestic violence shelter for women and children.

Tip-A-Cop is an initiative of the Lafayette Police Department. Officers, detectives, and other staff will be waiting on customers who come into Deano's on Bertrand that night.

Faith House of Acadiana helps women who are dealing with domestic violence. The shelter houses women and also offers a myriad of other outreach services. There are educational services for everyone, and a dedicated staff constantly working to end the cycle of domestic violence.

Did you know that statistics show that 50% of women and children who are homeless are that way because they are fleeing domestic violence? The situation is serious, with four out of six in every Louisiana classroom having witnessed violence at home. In addition, 3 to 4 of all of these children are abused and/or neglected.

These are just two of the reasons that Faith House can use your support!
