The Voice Of UL’s Ragin’ Cajuns Blogs About Former Cajun Injured In Afghanistan
As you probably know, KTDY is part of a cluster of radio stations owned by Townsquare Media. We have seven stations in our building, including Sports Radio ESPN 1420 AM, KPEL.
Our co-worker (and legendary broadcaster) Jay Walker, the "voice" of the Ragin' Cajuns, has a program called Bird's Eye View that covers all things sports, including UL.
Jay also writes a blog on his website, and that's where I found this story of John Coker, a former UL Ragin' Cajun outfielder, who was injured in the line of duty this week while serving as a sergeant in the US Army in Afghanistan. The story pays great tribute to a man who doesn't stop short of giving it his all.
