The New Iberia Police Dept. Hits The Streets This Weekend (AUDIO)

It's been 14 years since the New Iberia Police Department was disbanded. Since then, the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Offi9ce hass handled the law enforcement duties within the city.

But this Sunday morning, the recently sworn-in officers with the new New Iberia PD will take to the streets to fight crime.

The squad's new police chief Todd D'Albor spoke with KPEL's Derek Albert about what the public can expect when it comes to crime abatement within the city limits.
