The Difference Between Men And Women [Oscars, Facebook]

While scrolling through my Newsfeed on Facebook this morning, I saw two separate posts about Bette Midler's performance on the Oscars last night...

One of the status updates was from my friend Lindsay (with an "A):

Lindsay:    Don't you freaking do it, Bette Midler.

The update was posted at the beginning of Bette Midler's performance of "Wind Beneath My Wings".  Lindsay's status had comments, from

"Here come the tears"

to

"Thanks Bette for making me sob. I should have known when I saw that she was on the list of performers.

 

On the "other side of the coin", my friend Matt, the birthday boy today, posted this  during Bette's performance:

Matthew Hernandez:  Are they trying to put people to sleep?! #oscars #windbeneathmywangs

 

I just thought that the 'difference' was amusing...
