Texas Gambler Wins Massive Jackpot on Scratch-Off Ticket

If you love scratching lottery tickets in Louisiana, you may be a bit jealous of what someone won in Texas.

There was once a time when I planned what I'd do if I won the lottery, to the point that I even knew what the first thing I'd purchase was. Well, I don't have the luck that I thought I did, thus those plans have been thrown out the window.

However, one person in Wylie, Texas, apparently has way more luck playing the lottery than I do.

It was announced that someone, who wished to remain anonymous, won $3 million by scratching a lottery ticket. Oh, the ticket with the jackpot cost $30 to play.

After taxes, it is reported that the winner walked away with $ 1.89 million. The winning ticket was sold at AJ’s Quick Trip.

We congratulate the person who won this money, but I am still in shock at the amount of money taken out in taxes. And yes, I understand that the government needs its share, but wow.
