'Forrest Gump' is a tale of a dim-witted but good-natured man who finds himself in the middle of many of the influential events of post-World War II America. The 1994 film was a huge hit, earning close to 700 million at the box office and winning six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Tom Hanks won more than just an Emmy on Sunday night, he won life. Our favorite tabloid-free celeb had some fun with his newly-acquired bling by taking it for a little joyride after the awards show festivities.

I know that the new ‘Transformers’ movie is supposed to be the huge summer blockbuster, but ‘Dark of the Moon’ won't be getting any of my money. I don't go for the big action-packed, special-effects-filled, very loud cinematic experience.  I'm looking for something nice and sweet and funny. So if I get a chance to go to the movies over the July 4th weekend, I'll be going to see Tom Hanks and Julia
