The 2022 Gueydan Duck Festival is underway and even though the forecast is calling for rain it will still be a great time.

An end of Summer tradition will not take place this year as Duck Festival organizers have decided to drain the pond on this year's event.

Festivities include live music, skeet shooting, dog trials, cooking, calling and more.

Thursday, August 23, 2012 marks the official opening ceremonies of the 2012 Duck Festival in Gueydan, Louisiana. Bands this year include the Chee Weez, Jaryd Lane, Geno Delafosse, Chubby Carrier, Jamie Bergeron and Travis Matte.
