There have been a rash of crashes involving motorcycles in the Lafayette area over the past few weeks.

I asked my Facebook friends to solve a disagreement between a friend and I and here's what they said.

Remember to be extra vigilant as the holidays are fast approaching - we're going to have longer traffic lines and shorter tempers.

If you must get out before this all melts, please slow down, give yourself extra time, leave plenty of space between your car and other vehicles, and pay very close attention.

Runners are encouraged to register early, and motorists are reminded that Camellia Boulevard will be closed near the Vermilion River for the event.

Your registration fee and the money you raise makes a direct impact on families fighting and living with cancer right here in Acadiana.

I can just imagine how awesome it will look next Wednesday when it's filled with families and runners for the Camellia Crossing!

Camellia Boulevard will be closed on Saturday, May 18, from Silverstone Road to Eastland Drive (from Paul's Fine Jewelry over the bridge, almost to Johnston)

The turn lane and curbing modifications at the Guilbeau/Camellia and Johnston Street intersection has been rescheduled to begin Monday, August 15, 2011 for approximately four weeks.  As a result of this work, lane closures are scheduled to occur and motorists should expect delays and plan for alternate routes...

I love flowers!  It's so nice to see a few things blooming after all the ice we've had lately.  I can't imagine what it must be like to be shoveling snow right now.  Here are a few pictures I have collected from my garden and from friends.
