Sweet Cecilia’s ‘Sing Me A Story’ Recorded Live In Lafayette
I attended the SOLO songwriters festival recently and was blown away by the talent in attendance.
They came from far and wide, and close and narrow: several Acadiana-based singer-songwriters showed up to learn a thing or two, share a thing or two, and showcase their talents on stage.
I have been following Sweet Cecilia for a couple of years now and, in the past, I used to refer to them as Al Berard's kids/niece, but I think it's time I stop doing that. Not to take anything away from Al (he was an incredible musician, mentor to many, and a true gentleman), but to give Sweet Cecilia the recognition they deserve as musicians standing on their own.
I missed the beginning of the song but, believe me, it was just as beautiful as the portion I was able to capture.
