Had 18-year-old Dylan Chaisson stopped for Scott Police after they caught him speeding, he may have been given a  speeding  ticket. Instead, Chaisson led officers on a high-speed chase through Lafayette Parish, which earned the teen a laundry list of traffic violations.

Scott Police Chief Chad Leger said officers attempted to stop Chaisson near the  intersection of Gouaux and Dugas Roads for speeding.

Not thwarted by police sirens, Chaisson accelerated leading officers on a high-speed chase from Scott to Carencro.

Leger said, at one point, Chaisson drove his vehicle head-on against a marked Carencro Police vehicle, nearly causing a head-on collision.

Chaisson eventually stopped at a home near Upper Lafayette.

The Sunset teen was arrested for: speeding, no driver's license, and felony aggravated assault with a motor vehicle upon a police officer.

Upon Chaisson's arrest, he was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
