You've probably heard the expression, "They took everything that wasn't nailed down"?

In a case from Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers, they took things that were nailed down, and they made off with panels worth thousands of dollars.

At some point between 5 o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, January 7 and 3:30 in the afternoon on Wednesday, January 8, someone made off with over $25,000 worth of solar panels from a home that was being remodeled.

The theft of the meter, converter box and the solar panels happened in the 29000 block of the Crowley/Eunice Highway in Mowata.

Remodeling a home is never cheap, and with the added loss of all of this stuff, the property owners are out of significant chunk of money.

If you happen to know anything about this crime, you are asked to call the Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers line at 337-789-TIPS(8477).

If you travel down the Crowley/Eunice Highway in the Mowata area, maybe you saw someone doing what you thought was work on a house. Think back to the evening of January 7 through the afternoon on January 8, and see if you remember seeing anyone on the roof of a home in the 29000 block of the roadway.

It's going to cost thousands of dollars for the owner of this home to be able to replace everything that was stolen.
