Shots Fired Friday Night at Ville Platte High School Jamboree

It's the last thing you want to hear about at the start of the high school football season.

While teams and fans were ready to start their 2023 high school football season at the Ville Platte Jamboree on Friday night, someone fired shots near the stadium.

KLFY-TV reports that no one was injured in the shooting.

However, having spoken to fans in attendance, many were shaken and I am told kids ran for their lives.

It was pandemonium in the stadium as soon as shots rang out Friday night in Ville Platte.

Sadly, so many players and fans waited for this night, and for it to end like this is discouraging and very upsetting.
