Louisiana Sheriff’s Department Shares Hilarious Reminder for New Year’s Eve
(KTDY) - A Sheriff's Department in Louisiana shared an important reminder as we get closer to ringing in a New Year, and it had nothing to do with fireworks or gun safety.
For years, many agencies have reminded us to ring in the New Year by setting off fireworks safely, not drinking and driving, and following other necessary precautions.
As we count down the hours to 2026, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office issued another important reminder and shared it on social media. By the way, we are on the record saying that their social media page may be one of the most hilarious public pages on Facebook.
The Sheriff's Department's message was simple and to the point. As you may expect, their message, a reminder, has gotten hundreds of shares, hilarious reactions, and comments.
The agency gave the general public a brief English lesson, which went like this. By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
If you and your family are doing fireworks tonight to ring in the New Year, here are just a few safety reminders. It may be a good idea to have your young children watch this before setting off small explosives on New Year's Eve.
