As predicted a line of strong to severe thunderstorms made its way across Louisiana this morning. There were severe weather watches and warnings associated with this storm system, and, as of this posting, there is some lingering activity (lightning/thunder; the wind events are mostly past our area). 3 deaths have been reported, attributed to the storm system.

KATC's Power Doppler HD Radar showed a great view of where the heaviest of the activity was located.

Forecasters believe the worst of this weather should move out of the area by mid-morning. The remainder of the day Saturday should be cooler and certainly calmer.
