Was Richie Sambora fired from Bon Jovi?

Reports from RumorFix (exclusive and anonymous sources) are saying Sambora has been officially fired from the tour in a dispute over money. According to RumorFix, Sambora is making $2 million a month plus 20 percent of the net from each show, even though he's not playing with the band. Reportedly, Jon Bon Jovi agreed, officially severing ties for the duration of the tour. In his place is onetime Triumph guitarist Phil X who is earning a comparatively low $10,000 a month while he’s with Bon Jovi.

The current tour commitments run through mid-December and will see the band playing South America, North America, Japan and Australia. The closest venue to Lafayette will be Dallas.
