Imagine flipping through a shopping catalog like Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, or The Container Store and seeing a UL Ragin' Cajuns yearbook inside. That’s what happened to Heather DeValcourt and she couldn’t help but share it with Acadiana on Facebook.  Heather visited The Container Store near the Galleria in Houston and they gave her the shelving catalog when she checked out at the register.  Later, when she was scanning the catalog she spotted a black book being used as a decorative piece on one of the shelves in the catalog. The spine of the book said “L’Acadien” and she immediately recognized it. A University of Louisiana at Lafayette yearbook.  It’s not like she was looking at a local business’s catalog. We don’t even have The Container Store in Louisiana. Our L'Acadien yearbook is being seen all across the country and that's pretty darn cool.

Heather said what makes this whole thing even cooler, is the timing.  The new UL yearbook was just released. If that wasn’t enough, L'Acadien is celebrating 100 years! When you look at all the elements it really is pretty special that Heather spotted it.
