Mardi Gras parades are supposed to be fun, and perhaps that's why an armored truck in a New Orleans parade decided to crank up the volume in one recent parade.

A video posted on X shows an armored truck with police driving down the parade route while playing a popular throwback song across its public address system.

The song blasting from the armored truck was none other than Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby."

While protecting and serving those along the route, these officers decided to join in on the fun..

While at a recent parade in Lafayette, I saw police engaging with the crowd and making the most of the situation, which was great too.

In a separate video, you can see administrators with NOPD hitting the street and having fun with paradegoers.

While talking police, can we salute and thank all law enforcement agencies who work long hours to ensure that all Mardi Gras parades are safe? Here are snacks being delivered to officers while they are posted up.
