There's some serious growth happening soon at the intersection of Pont Des Mouton and I-49 in upper Lafayette.

A few weeks ago we told you about a new development being constructed at the SE corner of that exit that will include Agave Cantina, Zeus, a proposed hotel space and more.

Now we're getting word that a new Chevron convenient store coupled with a new Billy's Boudin & Cracklins is being developed in the NW corner of I-49 and Pont Des Mouton.

Groundwork is already taking place at the site, which was previously a mini portable building business. There's a larger development called Cypress Plaza behind the new Chevron/Billy's that has been dormant for a couple of years with no word on its status.

It should be interesting to see this new set up for Billy's, as they'll be housed within a convenience store. Regardless, it'll be great to have another location to get those oh so delicious pepper jack boudin balls! Yum yum!
