- Dog Whistle - became popular when Florida gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis supposedly used a racial slur against his opponent Andrew Gillum
- Hegemonism - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un accused the United States of this in May
- Self-Made - in reference to Kylie Jenner on the cover of Forbes Magazine's issue about Women Billionaires
- Shithole - we have our President to thank for this one, when he allegedly referred to several African nations, and Haiti as the a fore mentioned word
- Footages - Cardi B and Nicki Minaj had a feud, and this word was thrown around on Twitter in the midst by Cardi
- Con Job - our President used these words in reference to the sexual abuse allegations against then Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh
- Laurel - or Yanny. Take your pick
- Stochastic Terrorism - in reference to physical attacks on journalists after negative comments were made in the media
- Amorality - this popped up when an anonymous Op-Ed appeared in September in the New York Times, allegedly from a member of the Trump administration
- Pissant - just to be clear, Tom Brady's 5 year old daughter is not a pissant, Alex Reimer
