Louisiana Mardi Gras Parade Rider’s Costume Catches Fire
(Houma, Louisiana) - On Friday night, a scary scene was caught on video from the Houma, Louisiana Mardi Gras parade.
A video shot by Danny Bourg at the Hercules Mardi Gras parade captured a person's costume catching fire while on the float.

You can see cold sparks going off on the float, which is a hazard in itself, and suddenly someone's costume is engulfed in flames.
The portion of the costume that was on fire was quickly removed and thrown off the float.
At this time there are no reports of injuries, but you can see how quickly the headpiece caught fire while the float was moving.

In addition to that wild incident, another float in the same parade in Houma took out power lines at the start of the parade. Some on social media reported a major delay in the parade.
