Mammosine Returns For 19th Year Bringing Breast Cancer Screening To Acadiana
(99.9 KTDY) - Each year, thousands of Louisiana women are diagnosed with cancer after getting their yearly mammograms. Mammograms save lives, as early detection helps women learn about breast cancer in earlier stages, and they are able to get treatment earlier.
The Mammosine tradition of taking ladies to get their screenings will continue again this year in Lafayette. This year, the Mammosine will roll for the 19th time. The point is to remind women throughout Acadiana to schedule and complete their mammograms.
Listen to Mornings with Chris and Bernie weekdays between October 5 and October 16 in the 7 o'clock hour for your chance to win a spot on the Mammosine. We will take ten qualifiers, and then choose five at random to ride with us in the Mammosine. Each of those five ladies can also bring a friend!

Part of the whole process included a delicious lunch for the Mammosine 2025. Last year, the folks at Prejean's let the ladies order whatever they wanted, and the entire table had impressive food. The food was cooked perfectly, and the portions were very generous.
