Louisiana Residents Want These Five Things Available All Year Long
We are spoiled with many things in Louisiana, but unfortunately, some of our favorite things aren't available year-round.
So, if we could select a few things that aren't year-round, what would be like to have access to all year long?
Let's highlight five things that we would love to have access to 365 days a year, rather than just for a few weeks or months.
KING CAKE
For those who love treats, King Cake is a blessing, however, this treat is only available during Carnival Season, and that's for about 6 weeks. Imagine walking into your favorite grocery store or bakery year-round and King Cakes are available.
That may not be good for our health and weight, but oh well.
MILD WEATHER
For much of the year in Louisiana it is HOT and MUGGY. If we could have mild weather all year long, that would be a blessing.
Personally, if the temperatures would stay in the 50s or 60s all year long here, you wouldn't hear much complaining from me. We'd have fewer mosquitoes and hurricane season wouldn't even be an issue.
HUNTING SEASON
For those who enjoy hunting, whether it's deer, ducks, or squirrels, they will tell you that being in the outdoors and away from society is just as beneficial as the trophies they seek.
I think most hunters in Louisiana would love to be able to hunt year-round, and it may all be because they just want to get away.
BOILED CRAWFISH
Crawfish is seasonal and those who enjoy crawfish want it to be available all year. Sadly, crawfish is seasonal and only harvested for a few months.
Now, some do think that crawfish will one day be harvested year-round, but until that day comes, we are going to have to just enjoy them for the time that we can get them.
How would you feel about having boiled crawfish in August?
FOOTBALL GAMES
The most popular sport in the Deep South is football, and fans can't get enough of it.
Wouldn't it be great to have football year-round? Of course, teams couldn't play all year, but what if college and professional teams played at different times of the year? You could enjoy the NFL, then college football thereafter.
Just a thought.

We know that we're forgetting a few other favorites from Louisiana.
