Louisiana People Just Don’t Put Up with These Things

I read an interesting article on the Southern Living website entitled, "15 Things Southerners Can't Stand".

It's a great article because it points out how passionate we are here in the South. When we don't like something we will tell you straight up or we will insult you so graciously that you will feel the burn for a week!

Think about it. We all love what we love here, and we love hard. But, if you get on our bad side we don't mind "taking you to school". We will set you straight.

Some of the things that made the list of 15 things Southerners don't stand for included people with bad manners, impolite children, and wearing a hat during the playing of our national anthem.

We decided to ask you about the things you won't stand for in terms of bad behavior. Some of the answers were surprising, and other answers were ones I think we all battle with on a daily basis.

Rude behavior in a variety of forms was something many of you said is something you just can't and won't tolerate. Another issue that really fires people up is drivers who refuse to obey traffic laws.

Another issue that was brought up multiple times was about those people who feel that they are entitled to something. One person commented that in her opinion plenty of young people feel entitled to things they haven't earned. Another person shared their opinion that it's older people who feel entitled.

One comment that was repeated was how we can't stand these flying little creatures in Louisiana:

In addition to ways in which people use words, one of the people who responded was Donnie Ardoin. His answer was funny! Donnie, props to you for being sarcastic and funny because we just LOVE it! Yes, let's tell Mother Nature who is boss!
