Last week was a good week to purchase a Powerball ticket in the state of Louisiana. The state's lottery players captured big money wins in this past Wednesday's drawing as well as a nice prize was won in the most recent Saturday night drawing. Here's what we know about the big money tickets.

The ticket sold for last Wednesday's drawing, November 20th matched four of the five white-ball numbers, the Powerball, and the player had opted in for the Powerplay. That means that the ticket is worth $100,000. It was sold in Sulphur at the Kroger Store Kwik Stop on Beglis Parkway. If you bought a ticket for last Wednesday's drawing there. You might want to check your numbers.

Those numbers were: 07 15 39 40 57 PB 12 and PPx2

The other winning ticket was sold for this past Saturday night's drawing, November 23rd. That game featured another winning ticket sold in Louisiana. This time the winning ticket again matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball but the player had not opted for the Powerplay option. That ticket is worth $50,000.

The winning ticket was sold in Baton Rouge at the Country Club Chevron on Highland Road. The numbers that were drawn for the Saturday night drawing were:

28 35 38 61 66 PB 23  PPx 3

Since neither of these two tickets nor any tickets sold for the most recent Powerball drawings has matched all the numbers necessary to claim the game's top prize it continues to grow. When the ping pong balls drop on Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve, the estimated Powerball jackpot will be $100 million.
