Louisiana Should Expect Another Round of Thunderstorms
Much of Louisiana experienced strong storms earlier in the week, and now another round of storms is on its way to the Deep South..
As we approach Spring, these types of storms become a bit more frequent, thus, you will want to stay weather-aware in the weeks ahead.
So, when can we expect our next round of storms in Louisiana? According to most forecasts that I have seen, this Saturday, March 8, 2025, could bring our next round of thunderstorms.
I share this with you now so that you can prepare ahead, especially if you have plans for outdoors this Saturday. After the storms move through, we should see another stretch of pleasant weather, but we will have to "weather the storm" to start the weekend.
Unlike on Mardi Gras Day, the biggest threat with this potential storm on Saturday will be hail and heavy rain in some areas. The good news is that we will be below the high threat for damaging thunderstorms.
Here's a look at what we can expect in Louisiana to start the weekend, but keep in mind that your entire weekend will NOT be a total washout.
And now a look at your extended forecast beyond the storms on Saturday. One more thing to note, as you see on the graphic below, "DST" is back on Sunday morning, and that has nothing to do with the weather.
Daylight Saving Time returns this weekend, which means more daylight for you and me to enjoy in the afternoon and evening hours.
As a reminder, be sure to download this station's mobile app and engage the notifications so that you and your family can stay up to date on any potential threats and warnings as we get closer to the weekend.
