
Louisiana Bracing For Potentially Dangerous Storms on Mardi Gras Day
Much of South Louisiana is preparing for Mardi Gras day, and unfortunately, it looks like a line of severe thunderstorms will impact many of the scheduled parades..
Some Krewe's across Louisiana have been preparing for months for Mardi Gras day, and to see parades impacted by storms is always a let down.
Well, we hate to share some bad news with you, but it looks like many of the festivities in Acadiana and across much of South Louisiana will be impacted by storms that can produce tornadoes and heavy rain.
Some forecasts in recent days have called for wind gusts up to and beyond 50 mph by the time some afternoon parades roll.
In Jefferson Parish, all parades have been canceled due to the impending weather, and now we have a better look at the timing of the storms. If there's any good news here, the storms will move through fast, but unfortunately, the impacting storms will arrive when many parades are about to start.
