If you've ever been to the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival, you've seen this couple.

People would line up to take pictures with them; rug-cutters would line up to take their turns dancing with them, and people whom they've met over the years would line up just to chat. They were such a staple at the festival each year that they were chosen in 2013 to be the Grand Marshals of the parade.

Mr. Pete Drago passed away this week. Originally from White Castle, Mr. Drago was a resident of Covington. According to his obituary, he and Ms Helen were married for 62 years at the time of his death.

Judging by this picture these pictures that were posted to Facebook, it was obvious that Mr. Pete had a love for life, and wasn't afraid to show it:

The family requests that donations be made in his name to Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts.

Rest in peace, Mr. Pete: the Crawfish Festival won't be the same without you.
