Some of Lafayette's finest doctors and nurses are coming together to help raise money for veterans.  The group 'On Call' will entertain you this Friday evening, September 9, at the Cajundome Convention Center.

Senator Fred Mills will rule as the Master of Ceremonies, a show in itself, and the docs will take the stage for a more than worthy cause.  Colonel Joey Strickland, head of the Department of Veteran Affairs for Louisiana, will present a track chair to a veteran. Doors will open at 7:00 pm and the  program starts at 7:45 pm. It's free, thanks to corporate sponsors, but they will be accepting donations as well.  The drive to put disabled veterans in track chairs continues. No tickets are necessary.

The band includes Leah Stokes, RN; Molly Thomas, MD (Oncology), Gary Guidry, MD (Pulmonology), Steve Salopek, MD (Internal Medicine), Bradley Chastant, MD (Internal Medicine), Vernon Valentino, MD (Cardiology), Rick Dearman, MD (Cardiovascular Surgery), Ziad Ashkar, MD (Nephrology), Ronnie Daigle, MD (Dermatology).

Another event that proves Acadiana is the best place on earth to work, live, play and love.
