
Lafayette’s Tinsel & Treasures Returns With Shopping, Fun, and Giving
(99.9 KTDY) - After more than 20 years, the Tinsel and Treasures Holiday Market, put on by the Junior League of Lafayette, offers a bevy of booths for you to get a jump on your holiday shopping, and tens of thousands of dollars are donated to charity.
Event Dates and Hours
Tinsel and Treasures will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26.
Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., it's Ladies Night! Enjoy great music and specialty beverages.
Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., there is a VIP Ladies Night Experience! For $35, you get exclusive discounts, desserts, and hors d'oeuvres.
Tinsel and Treasures will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.
Tips for First-Time Visitors
Don't Forget Your Clear Bag
Anyone visiting Tinsel and Treasures 2025 is reminded to bring a clear bag, as it is required for entry into the event at the Cajundome Convention Center.
According to Cajundome and Junior League officials, the Cajundome Clear Bag Policy is as follows:
Each ticket holder, including children, may carry one approved clear bag, such as a one-gallon clear storage bag or clear purse no larger than 12" x 12" x 6". The following bags will be permitted inside the CAJUNDOME & Convention Center and are subject to search.
- Gallon-size clear plastic storage bag.
- Clear bag equal to or smaller than 12" x 12" x 6"
- A clutch or purse smaller than 7" x 5" x 1" (does not have to be clear)
- Equipment bag for necessary medical items.
- Diaper bag for age-appropriate children accompanied by an adult.
How Do I Buy A Ticket to Tinsel?
You can buy your ticket at the Cajundome Box Office right next to the Convention Center when you get there.

Where to Park for Tinsel
Parking is available throughout the Cajundome area. You can also park at Cajun Field and access the tunnel from Cajun Field to get into the Cajundome Convention Center.
