What Lafayette Misses Most From The Nineties And Two Thousands Era
(Lafayette, LA) - Whether it was the grunge look and music or Celine Dion of the 90s and 2000s, you are very vocal when it comes to what you would absolutely bring back when you could.
Some of the hottest fashions in Lafayette in the 90s included wide-leg pants, and music was defined by West Coast grunge. In the 2000s, it was about artists like Pink, Beyoncé, and Shakira, and the fashion was about low-rise jeans and tracksuits.

No matter what, there is one thing you would pick if we had the chance to bring something back from the 90s and 2000s. The answers are exactly what we expected: on point and perfect.
We'll share the eight top responses and some of the Honorable Mentions.
Denim and Diamonds Nights were where Lafayette Was in the Mid-90s.
Whether it was you, your next-door neighbor, or me, whether you loved country music or not, you wanted to be where everyone was going to be, and that place was the Yellow Rose for Denim and Diamonds Nights.
Who remembers "Should've Been a Cowboy" by Toby Keith or "Neon Moon" by Brooks and Dunn playing from the band that played at the Yellow Rose? Plenty of us. How many times did you dance around that dance floor? Probably about a million. Good times, great friends, and excellent music.
Blarney Blast Deserves an Honorable Mention Because Everyone Attended
Everyone remembers the massive tents, the green beer, the games, and the stage filled with the most amazing local musicians.
The event also held a wonderful dinner to celebrate local culture before the outdoor activities began, often on Wednesday night. I was lucky enough to enjoy one of the evenings, and the food was incredible: corned beef, creamy mashed potatoes, and incredible cabbage.
